Apple Account Guidance for Incoming Students

Strake Jesuit has historically recommended that incoming students create a new Apple Account using their school email. If your son already has an Apple Account, this isn't necessary — he can simply continue using it.

We're currently seeing an issue where new Apple Accounts can't be created using a school email address (@mail.strakejesuit.org). This is due to Apple's own account security measures and is outside of our control.

Please follow these steps:

  1. If your son already has an Apple Account, use that one — no need to create a new one with a school email.

  2. If your son doesn't have an Apple Account (or you'd like a separate one for school), create it using a personal email — Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook all work. You can change the associated email to his school address afterward if you'd like.

  3. If you run into any trouble, email techteam@strakejesuit.org and we'll help you with the process.

Your son must arrive at Freshman Orientation with an Apple Account ready to use. Please complete this step beforehand.
