No Storage

Edited

When the storage on your iPad runs low it can cause performance issues and prevent the latest updates from downloading & installing. We recommend keeping at least 15GB of storage free for updates.

There are a few ways to make sure you have enough storage, and they can all be done through Settings > General > iPad Storage.

The main option is using the Offload Unused Apps feature. This just temporarily uninstalls less often used apps and reinstalls them when you do eventually go to open them.

Next would be iMessage attachments - any photos/videos etc. sent & received through iMessage use up storage and things do add up quickly - there's an option to delete these from the iPad and they should stay stored on your iCloud account.

Another good thing to check is locally saved downloads. Do that by opening the Files app, selecting 'On My iPad' on the left side, and going into the Downloads folder. Anything not needed here can be deleted.

Finally, doing a force restart on the iPad can clear out some residual system data files from previous updates. See this article on doing a restart: https://help.strakejesuit.org/en/articles/13595969

Also worth noting many games use a lot of storage and should be deleted if you don't have enough storage to run updates.

You also have the option of stopping by the IT department and we can update your iPad using our computers.
