How does Screen Time work?
Screen Time lets families manage how much available device time remains during at-home use. Depending on the device and school setup, the child may see a Screen Time page showing the remaining time and current status.
What is Time-out?
Time-out is used when a device should stop being used for a period of time. On supported devices, the child may see a countdown screen that reflects the remaining blocked time. If the countdown or status looks incorrect, refresh the device connection and make sure the device is still online.
How does Restrict Specific Apps work?
Restrict Specific Apps lets families choose individual apps that should not be used on a supported device. If a recently installed app is missing from the list, refresh the device data and try again after the app inventory sync completes.
How does Lock the device in One App work?
Lock the device in One App limits the device to a single selected app until the control is turned off.
This is helpful when a device should stay focused on one learning or communication app during at-home use. If the action does not apply immediately, confirm the device is online and still connected to the school management service.
How does Remove Password work?
Remove Password is available only for iOS devices in Mosyle@Home. This feature is intended for supported cases where the device lock screen password must be cleared remotely.
What should I expect from Web Filter?
This feature is not currently available for parents. Please contact us at techteam@strakejesuit.org if you have any questions or concerns.
Mosyle@Home focuses on supported blocking behavior for web content. If the school uses Mosyle DNS or Mosyle Automated Web Filtering & Security, the product may show a message explaining that those protections are already active on the device. If the school uses another filtering solution, Mosyle@Home may explain that the device is managed by a different school-side web filtering setup.
How do Internet Browsing Logs work?
This feature is not currently available for parents. Please contact us at techteam@strakejesuit.org if you have any questions or concerns.
Internet Browsing Logs depend on the device having the required school-side logging assignment, such as DNS-related coverage when applicable. If the school has not assigned the needed DNS feature to that device, Mosyle@Home may show a message instead of browsing data. When logs are available, they help families understand recent internet activity captured by the supported school-side setup.
How do Security Status and Events work?
This feature is not currently available for parents. Please contact us at techteam@strakejesuit.org if you have any questions or concerns.
Security Status and Events depend on the relevant security profiles assigned to the device. Some data may be available only on macOS, while other security information can appear on both iOS and macOS through different retrieval flows. If the device does not have the required profiles assigned, Mosyle@Home should explain why security details are unavailable.
